What web hosting should I use for a photo business?

I want to use a web hosting service that will allow users to register and be able to upload photos to my website. Is this difficult to do?

I have used Yahoo Web hosting and it was Ok but kind of plain. I would prefer to use a downloadable website builder program rather than an online one(Kind of like Yahoo Site Builder but more advanced), Has anyone ever used any of the services below and do they offer this?

When going to a site have you ever seen the message “This account has been suspended”??
That’s either hostmonster or bluehost. They like doing that to your sites for the slightest, silliest reasons.
Like “our security filters detected something was amiss” I mean give me a break.
That was what happened to me 1 week into my relationship with bluehost, soon after having transferred my main sites with them.
Enough said.
I moved to http://www.ixwebhosting-unlimited-pro.moneysavecenter.com?id=m3y227 and never looked back. I recently renewed my contract with them.
They are also the only ones that will give you 15 different IP addresses! Shell access is also included, starting at .50 a MONTH you can’t beat them.

Making the site is relatively easy, you should learn some form of server side scripting (language) [Perl/CF/PHP are few of many], you will need that to enable dynamic site features… While you are at it I suggest you actually learn HTML, then you will NOT need any site builders and making your site yourself gives you considerably more flexibility than ANY site builder ever will.

You should consider one major factor if you intend to host [or even just upload] many large images, some professional high resolution images may be upto tens of MB in size, is included [in hosting package] bandwidth/throughput. You should estimate that as average size of image * number of images per page [if you will host them] * average number of users viewing the page. With large high res images it can easily go over the 10GB/month usual for free hosting…

    Hi,
I would recommend “IX WebHosting” because it’s very cheap and reliable. Their support service is awesome. This company offers site building tools, application vault, web mail, antivirus, Php, MysQL and hosts unlimited websites in one plan. Don’t go for free web hosting. They are not reliable.
